Unlike many agencies, we make continuity of service our
priority - the people you meet at the pitch are the people
who will be working on your account. All our consultants
are seasoned professionals with between four and twenty
years experience of PR, journalism and marketing communications.
Our key personnel include:
Ryan Smith (Marketing Communications
Director)
Ryan has held senior management positions both client and
agency side so knows the importance of spending marketing
budgets wisely. He has been sales and marketing manager
with a division of Grampian Country Food Group, Europe’s
largest food independent and Group Marketing Manager with
the UK’s leading garden centre group, Dobbies Garden
Centres plc. At Dobbies he was responsible for overseeing
all marcoms activity, in charge of a £1m plus budget.
Agency-side he has been a senior account director responsible
for driving marketing programmes for clients in b2b, technology,
engineering and consumer sectors. He has an MA in Management
from St Andrew’s University.

Mike Reynolds (PR Director)
A PR veteran with over 20 years PR and media relations experience,
Mike oversees Sigma’s PR programmes. He began life
as a journalist spending six years working on trade, professional,
national and international publications. After a stint at
the Financial Times he decided to focus his career on PR.
Since then he has held senior management positions with
some of the UK’s leading PR consultancies including
Harvard PR and WPP (the world’s largest marketing
services group). During his 20 years in PR, Mike has worked
with some of the world’s leading technology companies
running pan-European and global media and analyst campaigns.
His intimate knowledge of the workings of the media and
strategic approach to PR has helped clients ranging from
start-ups to multinationals make a real impact.
A graduate in Politics, Economics and Philosophy, Mike studied
marketing at post-graduate level at the European Business
School (London) and is a member of the Chartered Institute
of Marketing.

Helen Croney (Account Manager)
An English Literature graduate from St Andrew’s University,
Helen is a key part of the PR team at Sigma. Previously
she has worked with two of the UK’s leading PR consultancies
– Weber Shandwick and Beattie Media. Her experience
spans consumer, technology, tourism, transport and professional
services.
Helen’s core skills are in media relations being in
daily contact with Sigma’s wide network of print,
radio and television outlets, generating positive coverage
for clients.

Iain Cummings (Creative Director)
Iain has over 15 years design experience, having
created a number of award winning design strategies for
a variety of clients. His sector experience includes events,
retail, tourism, technology, engineering and professional
services.
Iain has intricate understanding of the marketing mix integrating
both traditional platforms such as literature and advertising
with new media including Internet and email campaigns.
